Why Angels? The Truth About Wings
You will find Angels on most of the pages of my website. For me, the term ‘Angelic Forces’ is a concept interchangeable with ‘Positive Thinking’ and ‘Positive Forces.’ Everyone can agree there are both positive and negative forces on the planet vying for our attention. I feel angels are metaphors for the positive forces of Nature, of Love, of all that brings us into union with God. This is a spiritual rather than a religious concept for me.
Our daily choices of ‘positive or negative thought’ will become, throughout the course of our lives, who we are. At any point in time, we can choose differently. That is the greatest miracle of all! We have the power to change at the deepest level of our Being, becoming Who We Really Are. When our Outer and Inner Powers are in sync, we become Pure Joy. You will have an absolute Knowing when you feel this.

"Just suppose for a moment that an angel does actually manifest as a real being of flesh and bone with normal human reactions to the force of gravity. In fact, there is at least one incontrovertible reference in the Bible suggesting that angels do take on the full gravity of humans. Jacob wrestles with an angel all night in what seems to have been a close fight. When the angel saw ‘that he hath not prevailed over him’ (GEN 33:25), the angel then touched the socket of Jacob’s thigh joint and during the grappling, the joint went out of place. (I would do that, too, if someone were kicking me in the groin!) This is hardly the act of an insubstantial and weightless wimp pitted against a strong desert man!
So if angels did, on occasion, weigh in about 200 pounds, what would the size of their wings have to be in order to lift such a mass from the ground and ascend into the air?
The largest birds on earth, like the white pelican or the mute swan, have a weight of about 25 to 30 pounds. They need a wingspan of about 13 feet to lift this bulk. The record for an efficient lift amongst the large birds is held by the Canadian goose which lifts about 4 pounds for every square foot of wing. Most birds, however, manage little more than half a pound for every square foot of lifting feathers.
If we calculate an average lift power it will be found that a tall angel, weighing a full earthly weight of about 200 pounds, would need a wing span of anything from 36 feet to 120 feet. This roughly corresponds to the size of a modern hand-glider, although those types of wings can only be used for gliding and soaring. It does indicate that the modest Renaissance wings have more than a flutter of poetic license!"

Gabriel Cousens, M.D., however, has an entirely different take on the subject of wings. In his book, Spiritual Nutrition, he discusses the subtle energy system in the body which is commonly known as the chakra system. One function of the chakras is transducing subtle cosmic energy into the body. An awakened chakra is one in which the individual’s consciousness merges with the higher awareness stored in that particular chakra. In addition to chakras, there is another energy system called the subtle anatomies which he explores for our understanding of spiritual nutrition. For the purposes of this article, it will suffice us to know that the subtle body system mediates as a step-down transducer to conduct the flow of energy from the highly purified virtual, or cosmic, energy state to a condensed, personalized state which our bodies use as life force. When all seven subtle bodies are aligned, cosmic energy flows through more intensely and with less resistance to energize and spiritualize the body-mind-spirit complex. To cut to the chase, the subtle bodies are an extension of the vortex energy spin of the chakras. As the vortex energy of the chakras increases, the centrifugal spin expands the subtle body. As the cosmic energy increases as consciousness increases, our angelic wings are unfolded. Perhaps these subtle bodies are the angelic wings that are sometimes seen by people.
Perhaps we are even those angels. The veils are there, but they can be peeled away if the interest is present.
It is my belief that we are all Angels in the making and Spiritual Nutrition and Cleansing the body is one path. For even though all roads may lead to Rome, some routes get to the fun faster. Why wait? And, if not now, when? radiant health is an inside job
